Made from a special aeronautical-derived aluminum alloy, the new Zard engine guard for the Ducati DesertX is an integral part of the new Sabbia line - a collection of products inspired by the world of rally-raid competitions, which combine sophisticated design with cutting-edge construction technologies to offer uncompromising performance and resistance, even in off-road use.

The Sabbia engine guard was designed directly on board the Ducati DesertX to offer optimal protection to all the mechanical parts of the powerful twin-cylinder engine. The aluminum alloy with which it is built offers excellent impact resistance and, despite the high thickness, guarantees optimal lightness.

To increase resistance even in the most insidious situations, the Sabbia engine guard is not anchored directly to the engine. Zard technicians have in fact created a tubular stainless steel frame, designed exclusively for the Ducati DesertX, which acts as a support for the engine guard using the fixing points on the bike.

The "dart" stylistic motif that characterizes this engine guard has a double purpose - aesthetic and functional. In fact, it lightens the component and ensures the right passage of air to help cool the mechanics, but at the same time it recalls the Z of the Zard logo and makes the engine guard more streamlined and aggressive.

PLEASE NOTE: the Sabbia engine guard can be purchased and mounted independently of the slip-on exhaust system. It does not imply modifications to the original motorbike.
