SEMI ACTIVE OHLINS SUSPENSION KIT

Now ohlins now offers the possibility to upgrade the Ducati Multistrada 1200S already equipped with EC Öhlins suspension with a new suspension control unit (SCU), offering a true semi-active suspension. While maintaining the different driving modes in the Ducati display, each mode has a completely new way of working. Instead of adjusting the shock to a specific setting on current use, each program mode adapts to the environment and adjusts damping forces, both in compression and rebound, on the fly. In this kit, Ohlins has included a new SCU control unit, a Öhlins Road & Track front fork with TiN coating with NIX technology, a TTX shock absorber and an Öhlins MMI (Man Machine Interface) touch screen dashboard.

Why change the suspension settings when you can have the electronics that changes them for you, continuously, while traveling

In any case, the heart of the operation is the new Ohlins SCU (Suspension Control Unit) control unit. With this, the already highly praised suspension gains another dimension of control. The new SCU is loaded with intelligent algorithms that, depending on the driving style, speed, acceleration and various other parameters, the suspension is adjusted momentarily to provide the best possible response. With the different driving modes - Sport, Touring, Urban and Enduro - some features are prioritized in programming, offering optimal performance for every occasion. Needless to say, the fixed click settings can also be used at the touch of a button, just like before: only with the new SCU the adjustment range is now almost double that of the original. The installation of the SCU is a matter of minutes. Simply remove the standard ECU under the seat and connect the new Öhlins SCU. In a simple Plug and Play operation, the Ducati Multistrada 1200S now has an intelligent semi-active suspension.

Like all Ohlins products, the system was developed in competitions before being launched on the market: in 2008, the R & D team of Ohlins developed the package in the World Superbike competitions, where it soon became the suspension to beat. Once again, Ohlins' advanced suspension technology revolutionized the suspension world.
