The importance of a well-shaped brake hose
During braking, the brake master cylinders forcefully push the brake fluid, causing a sudden increase in pressure within the hose. This action causes the brake hoses to expand and swell, resulting in the annoying "bump effect" that reduces braking power and modulation. Frentubo has designed its brake hoses to minimize this effect using the best available technologies. The inner tube is made of heat-resistant, non-hygroscopic PTFE (Teflon), which acts as a barrier against moisture absorption by DOT 4 or Super DOT 4 brake fluid. The outer wall of the tube is made of stainless steel braid. All this translates into increased braking efficiency and reliability.
